The AWFS Fair, this year's largest woodworking exhibition anywhere, will take place July 27-30 in Las Vegas. The Fair is seeking volunteers who are familiar with the products exhibited at the show, either as a user or a buyer, to judge the new products showcase. The ideal candidate will either own or have senior operations responsibility for their woodworking or furnishings business; have 5 or more years experience in the field and have some particular expertise with the category they are judging. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Angelo Gangone at (323) 838-9440 ext. 12. Gangone explains that the judging will take place on Wednesday, July 27 and possibly on the morning of the 28th, with the awards given that evening. The AWGB are in the final planning stages for their
tenth Seminar. Scheduled for August 12-14 at Loughborough University,
the event will showcase the very best and most innovative woodturning
in the U.K. This year's presenters include Thierry Martenon and Christophe
Nancey from France, along with Nick Cook and Binh Pho from the United
States, and Britain's Nick Agar, Stuart Batty, Julie Heryet, Michael
OĠDonnell, Dave Reeks and David Springett. Once again, the AWGB also
will be pleased to invite a guest of honour: the identity of this person
will not be revealed until the Seminar gets under way. An Instant Gallery
allows delegates to show their work to their peers. If you wish to be a part of this essential woodturning
experience, visit the AWGB online at |
