John,
Excellent eZine - spent about an hour following all the links - thought I knew something about wood! It's really stuffed with information and learning.
Niall

Thanks for the compliment!
J

John,
I enjoyed my first issue of your online magazine and the ease of being able to download it as a PDF file to store for reading offline and for future reference. I am on a dial-up server and the speed is not that great, so having to browse through your magazine while online is not the greatest way to enjoy the information that you seem to have available. And not being able to keep it for future reference sucks. I personally prefer your old format.
Thanks, Dave

Hello Dave,
The problem is that the expanded format would have meant about a 3MB download this month, and the eZine will eventually be about twice the size it is now. People love being able to click on live links to get more info. You can still download each of the pages and save them as source documents, so you can read them at your leisure and save them for future reference. Or you can print the pages and save them in a 3-ring binder, which might be the best solution.
J

Dear Editor,
Great e-zine! I just started getting it, so I don't know how to get to see the past issues. Looks like your site only has the current issue. Is there an archive somewhere?
Michael C.

Hi Michael,
That's a popular question. We've been going round and round over the back issue issue, and we think we have it figured out. At the end of every year we'll create a back issue CD (2004 will be the first one), and offer it to subscribers who want to have a complete set of Woodezines.
And, as soon as we get time, we'll also set up a page for back issue downloads for people who just need a single article.
Until that's in place, just let me know if there's something specific you need and I'll do my best to get it to you right away.
J
