New Mouldings
There's a new decorative moulding collection from Bendix called the Gesso Collection. A soft gesso - made from clay mixed with wood - is applied over a wood base moulding, which is then embossed with an ornamental pattern. This process offers deep relief patterned mouldings at very competitive pricing. The new mouldings are a low cost alternative for large wood ornate mouldings. The Gesso Collection are all nine feet long and can be painted, stained or glazed for any home decor.

The Quebec Wood Fest is a new event which combines a showcase for wood artists with an exhibition of tools, machinery and woodworking supplies. This is a traveling show. At the moment, there are five locations scheduled throughout the province. The first event is set for April 15-17 at Riviere-du-Loup, and shows will continue through October 9. All five are located in the southeast corner of Quebec.
