Our congratulations to WoodRat
The company announced last month that they have just sold their 8,000th unit! The jig is getting a lot of attention lately. In the last few months, it has been reviewed in Popular Woodworking and here in Woodezine among other publications, and woodworking superstore Rockler.com now stocks the WoodRat plunge bars for most router models.

Half Price Chair Book
We just noticed this in the Fox Chapel monthly specials - it's Ron Clarkson's guide to making classic carved chairs in the Chippendale style, and it's on sale this month for $12.50 (half price). Here's the scoop...

"In over 300 photographs, every aspect of design, construction and carving detail is covered. Ron painstakingly documents each step of the carving process to ensure your success, including the carving of a striking "hairy paw" foot and the classic ball and claw carved foot. Start your project with the actual measured drawings of the Chippendale chair. A splendid accompanying full color gallery chapter showcases this fine furniture for close-up study. Ron's easy reading text and comprehensive step-by-step technique section will make building these beautiful chairs easy - right from the start."

Finally! A Clamp for Vibrating Locations
The new Toggle Lock Plus manual clamp series from De-Sta-Co was designed with maximum safety and ergonomic benefits in mind. Note the vertical handle and locking cam arm in the photo at right. These clamps work better in applications where there is movement or vibration. Some of the more noteworthy features of the new clamps are bushings at the major pivot points for longer life; built-in stop locations at the base for added durability; greater hand clearance for ease of use; elimination of pinch points for added safety; an extended handle length for improved ergonomics; a longer clamping arm for greater flexibility; the spindle contacts the workpiece in a vertical position for less workpiece marring or movement; and the clamping arm completely clears the workpiece for easy loading and unloading.
