Cliff Dearing sent us an e-mail a couple of weeks ago telling us about his brother Charle's collection of 450 patterns for sale, most of which can be seen on his Web site. The quality looks excellent, and the price seems quite reasonable. Well worth a look.

On a visit to Janel Jacobson's new carving forum, The Carving Path, we came across a link to a site called KnifeArts. It is the online home of Isreali artist Vladimir Burkovski, who created the exquisite knife shown at left. The blade is Damascus steel, fashioned by Anders Fallas.
