Woodworkers Making a Difference

|
The Tsunami Hope Chest is a volunteer effort organized by the U.S.-based Woodworker's Website Association, with two goals. They want to raise money to help the tsunami victims, while improving awareness of woodworking. Through money donated by members of the association and people all over the world, they have commissioned a woodworking item which was made by one of their most experienced and talented members. The chest will be auctioned off with all the proceeds of the sale donated to a charity focused on providing tsunami relief. The piece, shown above in a copyrighted photo owned by the builder, Dave Shaw, was designed and completed by his company, Australian Wood Art in Queensland, Australia. To see more of their incredible furniture, visit them online at http://www.australianwoodart.com. |
