New Pro Blades from Bosch

Bosch Power Tools and Accessories has just introduced its first complete Professional Series circular saw blade line - 23 woodworking and 13-specialty blades "specifically designed for the smoothest and cleanest cut in a broad range of materials". Each blade is packaged in its own carrying-storage case. Included are fine cut, ripping, crosscutting, finishing, planer-combination, slide miter, melamine-veneer-laminate, solid surface, dados and special noise-reduction blades. Bosch uses a patented C4 Micro-grain Dyanite Carbide, which is designed to stay sharp up to six times longer than standard carbide, and provide the smoothest and cleanest cut possible. Twenty-one of the new blades are coated with a special anti-friction finish, which resists pitch and gum build up. The two exceptions, the 10" and 12" slide miter saw blades, offer special laser cut slots for exceptional vibration and noise reduction.

This line of blades was launched only a couple of weeks ago. If you need more info, you might have to call the company (877-267-2499), because the new line may not be on their Web site yet (www.boschtools.com).

10th Annual
Fine Furnishings Providence Show
Rhode Island Convention Center
October 21 - 23, 2005

The 10th Annual Fine Furnishings Providence Show will present a showcase for the finest in custom and studio furniture, decorative accessories and fine art. It is the only show of its kind in all of New England. Over 250 artisans from across the North America will exhibit and sell their work to the public and trade.
Applications for the Show - a showcase for the finest in custom and studio furniture, decorative accessories and fine art - are now being accepted from artists and designers who are the primary entrepreneurs behind their business, and intrinsically involved in the design and handcrafting process. Work must be original, well conceived, imaginative and appropriate for home decor. Artisans interested in applying to exhibit may download an application from the show's website.

Jeff Lind of South Berwick, Maine (at right) has exhibited at Fine Furnishings for 8 out of 9 shows, so it's easy to understand why he's one of their favorites. His comfortably elegant, custom-made furniture has found its place in homes across the country. With each piece of furniture he makes, he looks for what the wood is already saying. Jeff's website is www.jefflind.com
