Hi Folks,
There's an air of anticipation at the Woodezine office this month as we decide which lucky staffers get to attend the huge woodworking show next month. The IWF (International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair) takes place August 26 through 29 in Atlanta, and so far there are over thirteen hundred exhibitors signed up! A huge number of companies launch their new products at the show. We'll rush back from Atlanta to give you our list of the best new products for professional and serious amateur woodworkers, carvers and turners in a special section we're creating for the September issue (which will be uploaded on August 31).

This month, we are honored to profile an exquisite pair of artists in our Turner of the Month and Carver of the month features. It turns out (no pun intended) that both turner Cindy Drozda and carver Chris White are residents of Colorado. I wonder if the altitude has anything to do with their rising so high in their chosen professions...

Elsewhere in this issue, we take a look at glue options (ever wondered if you should be using hide glue or polyurethane instead of yellow glue?), and there are a couple of very useful, printable shop charts which convert decimals to fractions and millimeters to inches. And, of course, all the latest news can be found in the Woodworking News pages and the Carving and Turning Tidbits sections.
